The
ancient homeland of the Black Paradise Fish (Macropodus spechti,
formerly M. concolor) is Vietnam. We obtained now fully grown, wonderful
specimens from there. The fish are most probably bred ones, but they
differ clearly from the strain bred in Europe since the 1930ies. In
direct comparison the new importations show a very attractive, brass
coloured shine on the body and the ventral fins are extraordinary long.
