Again we could import the lampeye fish Procatopus aberrans from NIgeria; unfortunately we do not know the location where they were collected. However, we know that our supplier occasionally receives fish from Cameroon. Anyway, the current imports are a bit more graceful in body structure and the upper half of the iris lacks the red rim that was so characteristic of the specimens imported in January. These are very beautiful, elegant fish that should be kept and bred separately from other P. aberrans populations to be on the safe side.
