Corydoras C 30, a scientifically still not described species, originates from the area of the Amazon delta (Federal State Amapa) in Brazil. In its appearance it reminds of Corydoras melanistius a further north in Surinam and Guyana occurring species. Like all Corys C 30 should be held not in a to small group (5 – 8 animals). They like a fine, not sharp edged gravel or sand, a layer of detritus disturb them by no means with their bottom feeding. It is important that sufficient free surface is present, where they can go on searching for food. A dense planting at the edges of the tank and some roots give them retreat areas, which they visit occasionally. They are ideal representatives for a community tank with South American fish. It is hard to imagine an aquarium with characins and dwarf cichlids without a group of Corydoras species.
