A very beautiful colour morph bred in Germany and a true addition to our fascinating hobby. Corydoras aeneus (this fish probably belong to this family) is one of the most common true mailed catfish in the aquaristical hobby. Originally this cory species has a large distribution in nature which ranges from Trinidad, Venezuela, Surinam, Colombia, Ecuador, Brazil up to Bolivia. Individuals from different places tend to be different in colouration. About the breeding of these fish already lots of details has been published. After a thorough water change one cannot stop these animals from laying eggs. This species is an ideal candidate for the novice cory breeder and many mistakes made by the hobbyist has not resulted in complete failure. (Text: I. den Daas, Photo: F. Schäfer)
